Frequently Asked Questions Once I fill out the application am I automatically approved? No. Once an application has been submitted, the founder will review your information. If there is currently an opening available for a membership, you will be contacted via email to give you the place, date, and time of the next Meet and Greet event. After you have attened a Meet and Greet Event, you will be notified as to whether or not you have been approved for a membership with Playtyme. What is considered an active member? An active member of Playtyme attends at least one event every 30 days, and participates on the message board. I'm a Stay at Home Dad, can I join Playtyme or is it only for women? Absolutely you can join! We have a variety of activities for the entire family. It is not required that your a Mom to join, it is only required that you either have a child, or have one on the way. My wife and I both work, can we still join Playtyme? Yes. While the non-working parents get to attend more functions and events, there are still plenty of after hours functions as well as weekend gatherings, to accommodate our working parents. If I need to take a leave of absence from Playtyme, will I loose my membership? If you need a leave of absence from Playtyme, you must get approval from the founder, in order to freeze your membership. If approval is granted, when you return from your leave, your membership will resume from where you left off. For example: If 6 months into your membership, you request a leave, and it's approved, when you return from your leave, you will still have 6 months left of your membership. Is there ever a time when Playtyme offers a free membership? Yes. Periodically Playtyme may offer free or discounted memberships. How many events are on a monthly calendar? Playtyme's calendar has roughly 4-6 events per week, or 20-25 per month. What kind of events are on the calendars? The events on the calendar vary from month to month. We take into consideration the age of the children, member's suggestion's, and current local events. Every calendar has fun days as well as some more structured educational events to help children get a jump start on school.
